“You can make excuses or you can make money”-Donald Trump

I thought it appropriate to quote the “Donald” in today’s blog article because it is pithy and cuts straight to the chase. Much like the man himself.

You may or may not be an ardent fan but personal preferences aside he has a point. It is a very valuable and relevant point.

Fundamentally we have a personal responsibility to ensure we make the most of opportunities presented to us. The French have a phrase: Noblesse oblige that means “with the privilege comes the responsibility”.

If you are reading this on your laptop, PC or iPhone, it implies you have internet access and the associated hardware to communicate and conduct business on line. Yep, you fall under the privileged category straight up.

Did you know that the internet is the single most powerful leveler for anyone who aspires to creating wealth as an entrepreneur?

The dictionary defines an entrepreneur as “a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk”.

I wouldn’t get too hung up on the last word “risk” as most people make the assumption that becoming an entrepreneur is risky and having a 9 to 5 job as an employee is safe. Or is it?

The current global economy is in a state of flux-what the average person considered predictable and safe (as in having a 9 to 5 job) no longer exists. Sorry, I hate to break the news to you but that went out last century.

We are no longer in the Industrial Age but have entered one that is exciting and full of opportunities. Some call it the Information Age, I call it the “Come And Get It Age”.

That is provided you look on the current financial landscape that although is rapidly shifting can be interpreted as ripe for creating new on line businesses.

Are you reading this with interest or is there a little voice in your head telling you why starting a business in today’s economic climate is insane.

Is that voice reeling off the stats about the number of businesses that go broke within the first 3 years, and you once heard a friend discuss his uncle’s business going bankrupt and how he lost his shirt over a dud deal. Oh man, the wall of sound and in stereo!

If it is the latter, take a moment to ask your self where that self talk is coming from.

We are great at collecting evidence (anecdotal or from “reliable sources”) to prop up our opinion.

It is a choice.

You can choose to see mayhem and business failure everywhere as reported by the popular press (because bad news sells) or you can do some research into how you do not become another statistic quoted by the gloomers and doomers.

Yes, you can actually succeed in business in today’s global financial state.

It all starts with what is going on between your ears, the pre programmed self talk.

Stick around this site and learn how you can RE PROGRAM the self talk so that it supports your dreams, visions and goals for financial freedom and a better life for yourself, your kith and kin.

Yours in health, wealth and happiness
