Does your heart sink when you open your mail only to find another overdue statement?
Do you feel you are forever bailing and your canoe is fast sinking?
Are you feeling frustrated that you are going backwards in your business?
Note these are negative emotions you associate with meeting your financial obligations.
How you feel about your financial situation has everything to do with whether you become wealthy or continue to be on the back foot.
Below is a paragraph out of the book Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder.
She presents a new way to look at your debts and more importantly what you can do to re-engineer your thinking so that it sets you on the path to permanent wealth and riches.
“Indebtedness can be a tremendous blessing in disguise. When unpleasant experiences come upon you, it is often because there are new ways of living and new methods of work trying to open to you. In most instances of indebtedness, those who are financially embarrassed are fine people who are trying to live prosperously on a limited income. However, if they have rich desires, it is because they also have the equivalent talents and abilities that are seeking expression.
Their desire for greater good is very strong, but their bank account has not be equally expanded. Often they are people who are engaged in mediocre work when their talents and abilities, if developed, would bring them a rich income to balance out their rich desires.”
Basically what Catherine is saying is that in order to improve our finances, our first step is change our attitude towards debt.
Rather than resent paying our bills, bless the opportunity that the Universe has given us to generate the cash to meet our financial obligations.
Try this out for a month, remembering to bless your bills every day and drop me a comment on how and what changed for you.
